Just one year after signing veteran linebacker Bruce Carter to a four year contract worth about 17 million the Buccaneers are expected to release him. Carters’ season didn’t go as expected as he was suppose to start at middle linebacker, but was beat out by rookie Kwon Alexander.
This move comes as somewhat of a shock to me as Carter played well when he stepped in for Alexander during his suspension, but it’s a business. The move would save the Bucs that $4.25 million in cash as well as cap space.
