On Wednesday the Baltimore Ravens released starting safety Will Hill. Hill was suspended 10 games by the NFL for violating the league substance abuse policy.
Hill signed a two year $7 million extension in August of 2015 with the Ravens which included $5.16 million guaranteed.
This is the fourth time Hill has been suspended by the league. He was suspended on three different occasions during his time with the New York Giants for the same incident.
He was suspended four games in each of the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons. It did not take long for Baltimore to find a replacement for Hill.
Just hours after his release the Ravens signed former Chargers star safety Eric Weddle. Toward the end of last season Hill had fell out of favor in Baltimore as he was benched during the final two regular season games for Ladarius Webb.
