As the Broncos continue their search for a quarterback, they are not looking for a hero like a Peyton Manning, they just need a quarterback.
As of now they are set to defend their title with Mark Sanchez as the starter. With desperation soon to kick in would Denver have the thought of rolling out Jake Plummer instead?
Plummer, who hasn’t played since 2006 actually considered returning. Plummer recently told SiriusXM NFL Radio “I am 41 and the Broncos need a quarterback.
My body feels great after playing for 10 years and being retired the last few years.” Plummer started his career with Arizona and finished with the Broncos.
He passed for 29,253 yards with 161 touchdowns and 161 interceptions. He wasn’t the best quarterback but he did put together some solid seasons in Denver before handing the reins over to Jay Cutler.
Now a decade later, Plummer is feeling good enough to play in the NFL again.
